Actualités /NTT DATA Recognized as a Leader in Insights-Driven Business Process Outsourcing

TOKYO – February 2, 2021 – NTT DATA, a leading IT services provider, has been positioned as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Insights-Driven Business Process Outsourcing, Q4 2020. The report evaluated 13 insights-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) providers on 21 criteria across three categories: strategy, market presence, and current offering. It shows how each provider measures up and helps application development and delivery (AD&D) professionals select the right provider for their needs.

The Forrester report notes, “[NTT DATA’s] strength lies in a heavily verticalized go-to-market for insights as a service within healthcare, insurance, and the public sector backed by investments in in-house, productized platforms such as Nucleus and domain-specific cognitive solutions.” The report recognized NTT DATA’s focus on operationalizing insights for specific high-value processes at scale and goes on to state, “[NTT DATA’s] maturity in deep analytics for specific verticals makes for unique and sometimes industry-first use cases…”

It also noted that NTT DATA leads in commercial model innovation focused on as-a-service and outcome-based pricing.

“The BPO industry has been going through a monumental shift in the past few years, and traditional BPO is giving way to more insights-led outsourcing, especially in the current pandemic,” said Kaz Nishihata, Senior Executive Vice President & Representative Director, NTT DATA. “Now, more than ever, organizations are looking for a partner who can provide more strategic engagement and deeper digital capabilities.”

“NTT DATA is at the forefront of this shift; we’ve made strong investments in automation, analytics and domain knowledge for several years now. Our company strategy has been and will continue to be a platform-based vertical BPaaS provider where we bring insights, process efficiency, automation and domain expertise to successfully deliver business outcomes to our clients,” said Tanvir Khan, Executive Vice President, Dynamic Workplace Services and Business Process Outsourcing, NTT DATA Services. “We are focused on developing predictive and prescriptive insights capabilities on our Nucleus platform that can provide embedded data science, automation and analytics to successfully deliver next-level outsourcing value.”
