The study is a collaboration between Penske Logistics, NTT DATA and supply chain professor Dr. John Langley of Penn State University. Dating back to 1996, Dr. Langley initiated research to capture and measure this evolving industry and resulting studies have documented the transformation of the third-party logistics industry. Each year, the study uncovers and explores current supply chain trends, selecting special topics that warrant closer examination.

John Langley
C. John Langley, PhDProfessor of Supply Chain Management, Penn State University
A member of Penn State University faculty, John is the founder and owner of the 2024 28th Annual Third-Party Logistics Study. He served as president of the CSCMP and is a former recipient of CSCMP's Distinguished Service Award.
