Seven years ago, I was a fresh graduate, unsure of what the professional world had in store for me. I remember feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as I joined NTT DATA. Looking back now, I realize how fortunate I was to land here. What started as my first job quickly turned into a fulfilling career that has allowed me to grow both professionally and on a personal level.

Starting as an associate in talent acquisition, I was eager to learn and contribute. The supportive environment at NTT DATA nurtured my growth, allowing me to move up the ranks from associate to senior associate, and now a talent acquisition analyst.

I manage end-to-end recruitment. Whether it’s the initial intake session, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, or extending offers, I’m there every step of the way. What I love most about my job is the interaction with people. Guiding candidates through the recruitment process and helping them find their place within NTT DATA brings me happiness. I’ve always been a people person, and this role suits me perfectly.

Engaging beyond recruitment

I’m also an active member of the People Engagement team here in Manila, where we organize various events every month to keep the workplace lively and engaging. Whether it’s planning events or hosting job fairs at universities, being part of this team has allowed me to help create a work environment that everyone can enjoy. Another aspect of my role that I enjoy is being involved with the Performance Club, especially when it comes to events like NTT’s Got Talent. We make sure everything detail is near perfect, creating a space where we can watch some really great performances. From singing and dancing to creating stunning sand art, these activities allow me to connect with my colleagues on a deeper level and contribute to the company culture in ways that go beyond my day-to-day responsibilities.

One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is how I’ve been able to transform our recruitment strategy. When I started, most of our hires came from traditional job boards. But in 2017, we shifted our focus to social media, increasing our social media recruitment significantly. This achievement earned me the nickname “Social Media Champion” within the team.

A culture of growth and recognition

I have experienced how much the company values its employees. Beyond the usual benefits, we have monthly events aimed at keeping everyone engaged and connected, which enriches our daily work life. This focus on engagement ties directly to the recognition I’ve received over the years, like being named Employee of the Year in 2019, which has been incredibly motivating. NTT DATA appreciates the efforts of its team members and acknowledges their contributions. These moments of recognition made me more confident and inspired me to strive for even greater achievements.

Outside of work, I indulge in various hobbies that keep me grounded and balanced. I love dancing, singing, and playing the guitar. Long motorcycle rides, drawing, painting, and watching anime are some of my favorite pastimes. These activities help me recharge and bring fresh energy to my work. All in all, I’ve been fortunate to work in an environment that supports my professional development and values my contributions. It’s truly a joy to be part of a company that cares about its people.
