Siragu Montessori School Attains ICSE Affiliation with Support from NTT DATA

NTT DATA presents school bus in honor of 20th Annual Day Celebration

CHENNAI – August 21, 2023 – The Suyam Charitable Trust (SCT) which oversees the Siragu Montessori School celebrated its 20th Annual Day to commemorate its journey to success. NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and IT services, has supported SCT as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts since 2008. This support has allowed SCT to enhance educational standards for children in the village of Avadi, Chennai, and most recently acquire the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ICSE) affiliation. In addition, NTT DATA donated a school bus, which was presented at the ceremony.

Dr. Uma V. Ph.D., founder of SCT, presided over the celebration. In attendance from NTT DATA were: Niranjan Kumar, Senior Vice President and Radhakrishnan Murugan, Project Manager. Dr. Kavitha Sankaranarayanan, Ph.D., a renowned Faculty Scientist from the AU-KBC Research Centre at MIT Campus, also attended the occasion.

During the celebration, Niranjan Kumar unveiled a commemorative plaque dedicated to NTT DATA's continuous support and presented a school bus that will be used by the students of Siragu Montessori School.

The 20th Annual Day Celebration is not only a milestone for us but also a moment to acknowledge the efforts of our dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters who make a difference in the lives of these children. Our sincere thanks to NTT DATA for believing in Suyam and supporting our efforts year on year towards attaining our dream of being CISCE recognized."

Adding to this, Niranjan Kumar, NTT DATA Senior Vice President said, "NTT DATA is committed to supporting social causes that make a difference in local communities. Education is very important to us, and we are glad that we could impact over 450 young minds by providing an infrastructure which promotes a conducive learning environment together with Suyam.
