NTT DATA Services' CIO Barry Shurkey Named Global CIO of the Year by Dallas CIO Leadership Association

PLANO, TX – March 15, 2019 – NTT DATA Services, a recognized leader in global technology services, is proud to announce that the company’s Chief Information Officer, Barry Shurkey, continues to receive accolades for his progressive integration of the former Dell Services. In the past 6 months, Shurkey was named the 2018 Tech Titan, the 2019 D CEO CIO of the Year Award and most recently the 2019 Global CIO of the year by the Dallas CIO Leadership Association.

Shurkey led IT integration efforts in NTT DATA’s $3 billion acquisition of the former Dell Services that began in November 2016. Through his meticulous and proactive approach, the integration allowed NTT DATA to improve its global reach, offer new cost-effective solutions, expand its portfolio of services and increase its range of capabilities.

As the company integrated 30,000 employees in just 18 months, Shurkey led his team to migrate more than 1,000 applications, 200 IT projects, nine data centers, 54 facilities and 1,600 data circuits.
