NTT DATA Wins Deal of the Year, Executive Vice President Named Corporate Dealmaker of the Year by D CEO

PLANO, TEXAS – May 30, 2017 – NTT DATA Services, a recognized leader in global technology services, received two prestigious awards in the 2017 Mergers and Acquisitions Awards presented by D CEO and Association for Corporate Growth. The company won the Deal of the Year recognition in the billion dollar category for its 2016 acquisition of Dell Services. Leading the deal, Sylvia Steinheiser, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for NTT DATA, was named the 2017 Corporate Dealmaker of the Year.

In November 2016, NTT DATA closed on an approximately $3 billion acquisition of Dell Services, formerly Perot Systems, in a deal that solidified the company’s position as a top 10 global technology and business services provider. Following the acquisition, the combined entity represents one of the industry’s most comprehensive IT service portfolios designed to help enterprises modernize business and technology.

The recognition for Steinheiser comes as a result of her efforts in leading NTT DATA through this deal, which is the largest, most significant and most complex acquisition in the company’s history. Under her leadership, NTT DATA has made 11 acquisitions in the last eight years as it executes a long-term strategic plan focused on measured growth.

Awards were presented at a private event on May 23 at The Fairmont Dallas. The D CEO and ACG Mergers and Acquisitions Awards recognize the top deals in North Texas and the dealmakers who made them happen. Nominees were reviewed by a panel of judges who are experienced leaders in the Dallas-Fort Worth business community.
