Plano, TX – May 22, 2014 – NTT DATA, Inc., a leading IT services provider, today announced a three-year commitment to support the North Texas Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids – Plano Program Leaving the Site Icon.  A united effort of Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere and the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) Leaving the Site Icon, Food 4 Kids provides backpacks full of nutritious, kid-friendly food for them to take home on Friday afternoons to last throughout the weekend.

The Food 4 Kids – Plano program provides backpacks full of nonperishable, kid-friendly food for them to take home on Friday afternoons. Children take home the backpacks and return them on Monday so they can be filled again for the next weekend. The program has grown to 330 schools, and approximately 11,000 hungry children in Dallas and surrounding counties receive backpacks full of food each weekend during the school year. It costs approximately $5 to fill each backpack with enough food to provide for about 60 percent of the child’s weekend nutritional needs.
