Plano, TX – February 4, 2014 – NTT DATA, Inc., a leading IT services provider, today announced that its NetSolutions 6.4.7 has been certified by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®). The software suite is now a CCHIT Certified® 2011 Long Term and Post Acute Care (LTPAC) EHR, additionally certified for Skilled Nursing Facilities.

NetSolutions 6.4.7 has been inspected against integrated functionality, interoperability and security criteria independently developed by CCHIT's broadly representative, expert work groups. Using CCHIT's testing methods, NetSolutions has been found to be in full compliance with the criteria in effect on the date of inspection.

LTPAC providers, physicians, payers, and purchasers will all benefit from having information in the marketplace assuring them of the basic capabilities of the products certified by CCHIT. According to the CCHIT Certified 2011 Certification Handbook, certification of NTT DATA’s NetSolutions 6.4.7 will deliver the following benefits:

  • Increase the transparency of the marketplace and reduce risk for providers
  • Direct investment toward CCHIT Certified health IT products that have the necessary functionality to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of care
  • Ensure the interoperability of health IT through standards-based compatibility with the emerging national standards
  • Protect the privacy of health information by requiring adequate security standards within health IT products and health information exchanges

CCHIT’s inspection process is based on real-life medical scenarios designed to test products rigorously against the complex needs of health care providers. As part of the process, successful use is verified at live sites.

“The CCHIT certification exemplifies our dedication to providing effective, high-quality solutions that enable our clients to improve outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance,” said Mike Jones, senior vice president and general manager for NTT DATA, Inc. “As a leader in the healthcare technology industry, NTT DATA looks forward to helping our customers achieve their long-term strategic goals and participate in national Electronic Health Records initiatives.”
